In 2023, the Idaho Period Project and the SW Boise Days for Girls Chapter lobbied the Idaho State legislature in support of HB313 to provide "feminine hygiene products, free of charge, to all female students in sixth through twelfth grades". The bill failed in a 35-35 tie vote.
