How the Hall Foundation Is Helping Idaho Girls Stay in School

In many rural communities across Idaho, something as simple as a period can become a barrier to education.

That’s why we’re beyond grateful for the Hall Foundation’s generous $2,500 donation to the Idaho Period Project. Their gift does more than provide products—it brings dignity, confidence, and consistent support to girls who need it most.
How Far Does $2,500 Go?
Each Period Pack we distribute costs about $8 and contains enough supplies for a full cycle. A girl typically needs about 20–25 products per cycle, or roughly 300 per year. We always include a few extras to ensure she’s fully covered, even during heavy flows.
Thanks to this donation, we’re able to provide a full year’s worth of Period Packs to 26 girls—that’s more than 7,800 menstrual products delivered directly to Idaho students.
Why Rural Schools?
This funding makes a huge difference in underserved rural schools like:
Clark County
Aberdeen Middle or High School
Challis High or Elementary
Mackay Schools
Salmon Schools
In these areas, access to basic menstrual supplies is not guaranteed—and for many girls, that means missing class or feeling the stress of not being prepared.
One student from Clark County shared:
“As a person with a heavy flow but low income, I can’t afford to buy pads all the time and bring them. It’s very expensive and hard to supply myself when in need.”
This is the reality for too many Idaho girls—and it’s exactly why donations like this one matter.
A Consistent Lifeline
What makes this gift so powerful is consistency. With the Hall Foundation’s support, we can show up every month for the same group of girls. Not just once. Not just sometimes. But every month—so they don’t have to wonder if help will be there.
We believe period products should be as available as toilet paper. Because when a girl has what she needs, she can stay in school, focus on learning, and show up with confidence—no matter the time of the month.
From All of Us, Thank You
To the Hall Foundation: thank you for being part of this mission. Your donation is helping girls feel seen, supported, and empowered—and that changes everything.
